We work with large private and public sector energy users to develop and implement energy strategies from procurement to efficiency and everything in between. With a combined team of highly trained analysts, engineers and technologists, the company operates from two office locations in Blackpool and Bristol providing national coverage. Optimised Energy is looking for an Energy Analyst to join our full service, energy consulting business. They will be responsible supporting the Section Head of Compliance with the day to day service of our clients, including reporting, data entry and analysis and other general duties.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Providing standard reports with complete data in a timely manner

  • Estimating data in a logical method

  • Liaising with other team members if report modifications are required

  • Liaising with clients to obtain data

  • Receiving, logging, and entering data into a variety of databases

  • Setting up new client accounts on databases

  • Supporting data entry for CCA and SECR clients

  • Completing preliminary data analysis

  • Identifying trends, consumption profiles and anomalies

  • Analysing half-hourly data and making recommendations for energy reductions

  • Completing tariff calculations to understand costs

 

Person Specification

  • Excellent analytical skills with an eye for detail

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent organisation skills

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Salary: Up to £20k dependent on experience

Reports to: Section Head - Compliance

Location: Blackpool, Lancashire

Employment Type: 9-12 month Fixed Term Contract (with potential to become permanent)
