Due to our continued success, we now have an exciting opportunity for an Energy Data Analyst to join our Midlands team based at our office in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire.


Purpose of the role

  • To provide analysis of clients’ energy data, to ensure that our energy works are focused and targeted.

  • To evaluate Optimised Buildings project performance for internal and external reporting.

  • To drive the development of new analytical techniques and models.

  • To drive development of our aM&T Energy Management System.

  • To drive development of our Data analytics software


What you will be doing

  • Prioritise energy projects and roll-out programmes through estate wide analysis.

  • Deliver Measurement and Verification of energy savings within Energy Performance Contracts, through regression analysis and normalised savings.

  • Provide understanding of existing clients’ estate through normalised benchmarking.

  • Prioritise the remote management of clients’ estates through exception reporting.

  • Provide consumption analysis and reporting to our clients and Internal Sponsors

  • Develop new tools and statistical methods to provide further understanding of consumption patterns.

  • Develop new reporting techniques and data analytics tools to provide insight into energy reduction opportunities. 

  • Provide pre-sales energy analysis, working with the sales and auditing teams to quantify potential energy savings for new clients.


About you

You will be expected to have:

  • Strong analytical and statistical probing skills essential

  • Concise and accurate reporting

  • Results orientated with good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Shows enthusiasm in seeking continual improvement to the role and company processes

Desired Experience/Qualifications



  • Degree level qualification in Engineering/Sciences/Mathematics

  • Ability to manipulate data and present arguments based on quantified results

  • Ability to communicate complex scenarios in simple language

  • Ability to develop skills on other analytical and reporting software applications

  • Excellent knowledge of Office applications especially MS Excel incl. VBA



  • Understanding and knowledge of aM&T systems

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of Energy industry.

  • Previous engineering/building services knowledge

  • Technical understanding of building services and control systems (HVAC, Lighting, Refrigeration, ITC etc)

  • Technical understanding of BEMS (Building Energy Management Systems)
