Due to our continued success, we now have an exciting opportunity for an Optimisation Engineer (BMS Systems) to join our team in London. This is an office-based role but there will be a need to travel throughout the UK as well as some home/office-based working.
What you will be doing

Identifying opportunities to improve poor energy performance of HVAC/Lighting systems at all relevant sites

Answering telephone calls from customers and providing 1st response remote fix or technical feedback on diagnosis of fault

Implementing changes to HVAC/Lighting operating parameters in conjunction with the store operations management whilst ensuring that store environment is not unduly compromised

Reviewing, through continuous monitoring, HVAC/Lighting plant status and operating parameters to ensure that optimum settings are not adjusted by others.

Liaising with Energy Analysts as to any HVAC/Lighting issues arising on their stores

Liaising with FM teams as to any maintenance issues where these arise

Provide concise reports for each site defining energy saving actions and collating the quantified evidence of their success

Maintain software applications which involves SQL Databases and bespoke application administration
About you
You will be expected to have:
-
Strong analytical and statistical probing skills essential.
-
Ability to find solutions to complex problems.
-
In depth technical understanding of building services and systems (HVAC, Lighting, Refrigeration, ITC etc.) and energy baseline methodology.

Thorough appreciation of site operations and procedures in line with clients and stakeholders demands.

Ability to calculate and articulate complex energy saving solutions including costs and saving calculations.

Ability to work as a team with a positive approach to dealing with clients and suppliers.

Great persistence in seeking continual improvement.

Gains satisfaction from achieving results in spite of barriers.

Able to promote Energy awareness with the clients’ technical and non-technical senior management and staff alike.

Will have good working knowledge of building services and the associated control systems and a very good understanding of current energy conservation measures.

Desired Experience/Qualifications
The role requires someone with a good understanding of HVAC and BMS systems as well an exceptional customer service ethos.
Other requirements:
Our business includes working on premises where vulnerable people may be present and you may be required to consent to an ‘Enhanced disclosure’ criminal records check for any “unspent” convictions prior to being appointed in this role.
