Job Overview
The Optimised Group are looking for a Sustainability Consultant to join our full service, energy solutions business. They will be responsible for helping develop Optimised Net Zero services and delivering these to new and existing clients as they strive to meet their net zero ambitions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a demonstrated history in sustainability and an interest in energy and the environment to help contribute towards the future growth of the business.

Principle Accountabilities

Working with the Head of Operations to further develop Optimised Net Zero services
-
Providing support to the Sales team with regards to new business opportunities including creating proposals and presenting solutions to clients

Project managing and delivering Optimised Net Zero services including strategy development, carbon accounting, reporting and target setting (GHG and science-based targets)

Creating Net Zero roadmaps and other communication tools

Deriving meaningful insights from data analytics and identifying carbon reduction opportunities

Project managing and helping deliver carbon reduction opportunities through working with other operational business units across the Optimised Group

Supporting the Compliance and Sustainability team in delivering CCA, ESOS and SECR client engagements where required

Contributing to information and knowledge management across the Optimised Group

Helping deliver the Optimised Group’s internal sustainability strategy

Maintaining our Professional Services Automation tool to ensure that all client engagements are delivered and managed effectively

Building strong working relationships with clients
Person Specification

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with professionals across all levels, including senior executives

Ability to scope detailed client requirements and plan, manage and deliver multiple client engagements

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
-
Knowledge of sustainability software and their applications

Strong project and time management skills

Strong problem-solving skills and ideally experience developing solutions in a business context

Relevant academic/work experience in the sustainability sector

Knowledge of net zero and carbon accounting, particularly scope 3 is desirable

A general interest in the energy industry and sustainability
